The seminar sessions over the course of the retreat will include traditional Qi Reeling exercise, Tai Gong, Chan (Zen) meditation, traditional Chinese nutrition and healthy nutrition discussion, as well as other cleansing and nourishing Qi Gong for energy rejuvenation and healing. This year’s Qi retreat will also cover some animal Qi Gong and other ancient Shaolin Qi empowerment training. It will not only help you release stress and balance your energy, but it will also greatly improve your Qi power.
All classes will be taught by Grand Master Shi Deru, Shaolin Temple Southern Yard 31st generation indoor disciple and teacher of martial arts, traditional medicine, health and wellness for decades.
Participants will follow the Master in exercises, learning to breathe and stretch in various postures to relax the muscles, tendons, and ligaments. Movements and guided exercises will increase balance and muscle power and improve mental and physical wellness free from emotions and mental attachments.
Attendees will learn a few basic motions and techniques in ancient Yijinjing (a 1500-year-old bone marrow cleansing and ligament strengthening Qi Gong exercise) to balance and channel energy, so as to calm and cleanse the body and mind to release stress and improve overall health and wellness. Classes will also include other traditional medical Qi Gong therapeutic exercises in improving joint conditioning, and losing weight with meditation.
