Why: To promote health, fitness and self-defense as well as to raise funds for Sichuan Earthquake relief.

United States of America Sanshou Kungfu Federation and LIU International in cooperation with the East West Cultural Exchange Foundation will host Shaolin Legacy- US Open International Martial Arts Championships XII; Art of WarVII: K. Superstar Kungfu Sanshou Extreme Kickboxing on November 1st and 2nd, 2008. The US Open International Martial Arts Championship event will give various levels of amateur martial artists a platform to test their skills, their confidence and their self-defense abilities on an equal ground. Sponsored and organized by the East West Cultural Exchange Foundation, a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization, the United States of America Sanshou Kungfu Federation and the LIU International. It will be led by Grand Master Shi Deru.
This event will not only give every Kungfu Sanshou competitor good fighting experience and training opportunities to improve their skills but will also give all Kungfu –Tai Chi competitors a great platform to showcase their skills in various levels. Art of War will provide international level Kungfu Sanshou, Karate, Tae Kwan Do, Muay Thai, Jiu Ji-Tsu and MMA fighters a platform to test themselves and become the true warrior in the world of martial arts. This championship encourages fighters from every background to challenge themselves and bring out the warrior within. It is my personal goal to inspire and promote the best of the best in the martial arts world. The grand experience of this event is all summed up in its name, “EXTREME” and this event will be sure to impress all spectators.
There will be only one last standing K. Superstar Warrior in the ring.
